For those of you who like Oriental Flavored dishes try this delicious Venison
Tenderloin dish at home or the hunt camp. I like to cook this dish at home the night before a hunting trip and have leftovers to take with me.
2lbs Venison Tenderloin Strips
1Cup Onions (Spring Onion and scallions)
1 Cup Celery
Scallions
Salt
Pepper
Curry Powder
Minced Garlic
Basil
Thyme
Sesame Seed Oil
Vegetable Oil- (Olive Oil)
Soy Sauce.
Marinate Strips: for at least 4 hrs. (Cut tenderloin into 3/4 inch medallions)
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
1Tbs.salt
1Tbs.pepper
1Tbs. Ginger
1Tbs.Thyme
1Tbs.Basil
1/2Tbs.Curry
1Tbs.Minced Garlic
* Cook in Wok.
* Fill bottom with oil. Turn on medium heat to get oil hot.
* Add Tblspn. minced garlic.
* Then add Onions and celery.Season with Basil and Thyme. Let vegetables cook to almost done.
* Add marinated venison strips in while oil is still hot w/vegetables then turn to simmer (Venison needs to cook slow not fast).10-12 Minutes stirring every several minutes.
* Add Curry power (pinch), salt & pepper and tablespoon of soy sauce.
* When strips almost done, add 1 Tablespoon of Sesame Seed oil to taste.
To serve, add some Wild Rice and Sweet Peas with chopped spring onion and scallions.
